Connect / Lead / Learn

The SOOCed model believes strongly in a learning partnership between schools, students, and parents. We believe all stakeholders – the teacher, the student, and the parents – join as a three-member team that works collaboratively in the education of young people to promote and improve student ability to be safe, savvy and socially responsible online.

Unique School Community Approach

Each course can run independently but for the full benefit of the program to come to the fore students, their parents and teachers should all start their course together. The theme of every learning module is the same but the content is designed for each specific user group.

Digital Citizenship 3-Tiered eLearning Demonstration Site

Participating schools will have the four courses of the program installed on their own school server (or optional external secure server) to ensure participant data security. The program, once installed, is designed to be easily managed by school staff with little or no IT support.

  • This is a demonstration site, which allows you to browse through all the programs's learning resources.
  • Register by clicking on the Create New button.
  • You will then be able to self-enrol in all the courses by clicking on the orange text in the course tiles.

Each course aims to:

  • Develop a supportive and connected school culture.

  • Help improve student motivation and learning whilst strengthening the connections between schools and their communities.

  • Provide a strong academic curriculum that supports each partner acquiring 21st Century Learning Skills.

  • Help maintain open lines of communication between the school, home, and community.

  • Encourage respectful and dignified relationships with all stakeholders.

  • Incorporate the personal and social issues of students into their daily learning experiences in a safe, supportive and respectful learning environment based on Seligman’s PERMA Model principles.
